From Hedonism to true happiness
In 1991, at age 28, Raymond Munro began his journey as a fine artist, specializing in figurative oil paintings. Through his art, he seeks to express the eternal and infinite light that gives life to our world.
Art became a turning point for Raymond. It transformed his life from hedonism and constant dissatisfaction to peace and contentment. He developed a deep gratitude for and appreciation of other living beings. Now, he strives to express the light that brought all of this into his conscious experience.
By sharing his journey through art, Raymond Munro invites a wide audience to rediscover the beauty of the natural world and find inner peace. His original oil paintings and fine art prints not only enhance environments but also show us the transformative power of creativity.

Sometimes to do what we want takes time and a willingness to keep going. No matter how much we think about doing something it never prepares us fully for the actual experience. We have to commit with determination to action.
My experience of painting is like this. I see within a beautiful image and want to reveal it on my canvas. However, every painting involves challenges and the experience of constant learning, just as any other endeavour does. It is through action that we find and embody our strengths and the courage to live the life that is perfect for us as individuals. I love that every one of us is a totally unique individual. How wonderful it is that there is only one of you. May you embody through action your dreams and strengths and with courage live the life that is perfect for you.

On a deep level I felt very unsettled until at 28 years old, I discovered how much I love painting. The year was 1991 and my life as an artist began with this discovery. I immediately experienced having a purpose and passion that kept me centred and grounded. I also began to appreciate life more and felt relieved and grateful as a consequence.
